  • Overview

    i3 is seeking a Mid-level Systems Administrator to support an Army Contract. The Systems Administrator will provide technical expertise supporting information system components, infrastructure integration and maintenance to satisfy architectural and business requirements in support of MDA customer labs. The Systems Administrator must have a customer centric approach and provide all levels of support for the user base community. Candidates for this position must possess, at a minimum, a United States SECRET level security clearance.


    • Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line systems and in person.
    • Perform implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management.
    • Manages the functionality of servers and computers running Windows/Linux operating systems such as (RHEL, CentOS, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016) within an Active Directory environment.
    • Experience with Integrating Linux operating systems to Active Directory environments utilizing tools such as Centrify Server Suite.
    • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory groups, GPOs, user accounts, and other objects.
    • Experience with Linux patching and remediation utilizing YUM and configuration management tools.
    • Ability to build, standardize, and configure Linux Operating Systems in various technical use cases.
    • Experience installing and troubleshooting HBSS ePO products on client and server systems.
    • Experience with Multifactor authentication, CAC/Smartcard PKI and certificate management in a mixed Windows/Linux environment.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and creating Server and Desktop VMs.
    • Experience with Linux operating systems installation, setup and configurations such as CentOS and Red Hat.
    • Ability to create, manage and maintain NFS file servers.
    • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
    • Assist in maintaining system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
    • Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) systems and practices such as DISA STIGs, RMF and system hardening.
    • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
    • Provides advice and training to end-users.
    • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.


    • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years’ experience or 12 + years equivalent experience.
    • Secret Security Clearance or higher.
    • Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.
    • Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.
    • Strong Linux (RHEL, CentOS) Operating System and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong Systems Administration principles and troubleshooting experience.
    • Good working knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) practices/procedures (DISA STIGs, RMF, HBSS).
    • Strong DoD Security practices and knowledge, including COMSEC and facility security standards.
    • Must have DoD 8570 IA Certification (Security+ CE)
