  • Overview

    i3 is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our Distributed Learning (DL) team. The QA Tester is responsible for providing information to the DL team and customer stakeholders, including data, functionality/playability, and test results regarding the quality of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) under test. The QA Tester designs, creates, maintains and executes functional test cases and test plans to determine if the IMI meets defined requirements. Candidate must be flexible, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills are required, as well as experience with 508 Accessibility Compliance standards.


    • Develop, manage and execute test plans that provide comprehensive test coverage at the lesson, module, and course level, to include specific testing for 508 Accessibility standards.
    • Create the test requirements documents that serve as acceptance criteria for customer stakeholders.
    • Create and execute test cases and plans, which exercise the requirements under test.
    • Track and manage defect reporting.
    • Produce reporting of test preparation activities, test execution, adherence to test schedule as published in the test plan, defect information, and other data significant to test progress.
    • Coordinate with project stakeholders to develop and maintain test schedules within established project management methodologies.
    • Maintain effective communication with all project team members to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing project goals.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.


    • Must have hands-on, practical work experience in QA practices, processes, and standards.
    • Deep knowledge of 508-compliance standards.
    • Highly skilled in Web content for Accessibility testing
    • Ability to perform defect reporting and tracking.
    • Ability to lead all test related meetings with all levels of staff.
    • Excellent analytical, planning and software development lifecycle skills.
    • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and strong Excel skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate information to individuals and groups.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
    • Must be able to meet scheduling deadlines.

    Education and Experience

    • B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Software Testing Certification preferred.
    • Minimum five years of experience in the software testing industry.
    • Experience in SCORM-conformance standards.
    • U.S. Citizenship required.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
