  • Overview

    The Department of Defense Cloud Architect will provide a cloud subject matter expert role in support of a DoD cloud based environment. Duties may include the design, implementation, and support of a DoD approved cloud based environment and assisting the application team with application integration activities.


    • Design and implement new cloud-based systems and networks.
    • Assist with identifying and recommending appropriate cloud based services and configurations.
    • Work with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies. 
    • Work with CSSP to apply required security controls in accordance with FedRAMP processes.
    • Assist with Risk Management Framework implementation and documentation.
    • Support IAVM and STIG implementation.
    • Coordinate with application team on system/network upgrades and maintenance.
    • Knowledge of Express Routes and CAP connections.


    • BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
    • Candidate must have advanced DoD cloud based design and management experience, preferred on multiple cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS GovCloud, etc).
    • Experience with FedRAMP process and terminology.
    • CISSP certification is preferred, Security+ certification is required.
    • Able to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Good verbal and written skills.
    • Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).
    • Ability to travel up to 10%.
    • Active Secret Clearance required and ability to maintain clearance.
