  • Overview

    i3 is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the CH-47 Chinook to advise, design and validate educational software. Candidate must be creative, adaptive, and energetic, and must be able to translate instructional directions from DOTD Programs of Instruction to design and storyboards for software development.


    Candidate should have experience in platform and flight instruction of the CH-47 Chinook helicopter. You should possess excellent communications and analytical skills; knowledge of Interactive Multimedia Instruction a plus. You will work closely with customers, supervisors, instructional systems designers, other SMEs, software designers, software engineers and 3D artists to create interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, serious games, and distributed learning simulations.


    You will provide subject matter expertise through design meetings, storyboard creation and software content validation; quickly adapt to changing workloads, collaborate with your team and other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices ensuring a high-quality standard. This is a fast-paced work environment with plenty of room for creativity, expression and growth.


    Required Experience:

    • BA/BS Degree +10 years experience
    • Battalion or higher-level positions held
    • CH-47 Instructor or Maintenance Test/Pilot Qualified
    • MS Office suite

    Security Clearance:

    • SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain

    Preferred Experience:

    • Knowledge of the hierarchy and lines of communication at USAACE
    • BDE or higher-level positions held
    • Adobe suite
    • Platform instruction experience
    • 500+ Instructor hours in an CH-47
    • 500+ Test flight hours in an CH-47
