i3 is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator to support an Army Contract. The Sr. Systems Administrator will provide technical expertise supporting information system components, infrastructure integration and maintenance to satisfy architectural and business requirements in support of a large user base organization. The Sr. Systems Administrator must have a customer centric approach and provide all level of support for the user base community. Candidates for this position must possess, at a minimum, a United States SECRET level security clearance.


  • Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line systems and in person.
  • Ability to take on project ownership and satisfy requirements up to completion.
  • Assist other Sr. Administrators in the design and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management.
  • Manages the functionality of servers and computers running Windows operating systems such as (Windows 10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019) within an Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory groups, GPOs, user accounts, sites and services and other objects and roles.
  • Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems and integration with Linux Distributions using tools such as Centrify.
  • Experience with Windows System patching, 3rd party patching and software deployment utilizing tools such as WSUS and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Manage storage appliances using various protocols such as NFS, ISCSI among others.
  • Experience with Multifactor authentication, CAC/Smartcard PKI and certificate management in a Windows environment.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and VDI solutions.
  • Ability to configure, integrate and maintain VMware with external storage appliances.
  • Experience with storage, backup and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Experience with Linux Operating Systems setup and configurations such as CentOS and Red Hat.
  • Experience with Network devices such as Cisco switches.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems applicable to the compliance of RMF accreditation packages.
  • Experience utilizing ticket systems to manage and respond to end user requests.
  • Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) systems and practices such as DISA STIGs, RMF and system hardening.
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software; coordinates installation and provides necessary recovery operations.
  • Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results.
  • Provides advice and training to end-users and provides mentorship to junior team members.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.


  • Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
  • Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Strong Systems Administration principles and troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong Information Technology (IT) principles and troubleshooting experience. 
  • Good working knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) practices/procedures (DISA STIGs, RMF, HBSS).
  • Strong DoD Security practices and knowledge, including COMSEC and facility security standards.
  • Must have DoD 8570 IA Certification (Security+ CE) 
  • Secret Security clearance or higher.
  • Bachelor Degree and 7 year’s experience or 11+ year’s equivalent experience
