i3 is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to support an Army Contract. The Cyber Systems Engineer will provide Information Assurance and Cyber Systems expertise supporting information systems and ATO/ATC packages in support of MDA customer labs. The Cyber Systems Engineer must have a customer centric approach and provide all levels of support for the user base community. Candidates for this position must possess, at a minimum, a United States SECRET level security clearance.


  • Provide direct customer service and Cyber support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line systems and in person.
  • Interact and collaborate with ISSOs/ISSMs and Technical teams at various organizational levels.
  • Conduct and/or participate in Technical/Cyber meetings with organizational team members.
  • Spearhead the Integration of established Cyber policies and methodologies in a highly technical environment.
  • Perform review and implementation of RMF policies, system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management.
  • Conducts system scans and remediation to meet Army, DISA, DoD, and MDA compliance requirements.
  • Implement, manage and deploy HBSS rules, policies and products to information systems throughout the network.
  • Perform security log reviews utilizing tools such as SCAP, ACAS, HBSS, Splunk, Solarwinds, and others.
  • Review HBSS for events, rogue systems and product compliance.
  • Utilize HBSS, ACAS, and WSUS to provide reporting on compliance and patch levels.
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity and security of servers, computers and network devices.
  • Interact with MDA 2Ltr organizations and serve as an intermediary.
  • Generate and maintain system documentation such as RMF Artifacts, SOPs and policies.
  • Utilize and apply strong understanding of Information Assurance (IA) systems and practices such as DISA STIGs, RMF, and system hardening.
  • Conduct technical integration of new labs and systems and ensure security compliance.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates security posture.
  • Provides advice and training to end-users.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.


  • Bachelor Degree and 10 years’ experience or 14 + years equivalent experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
  • Experience with HBSS (ePO) management and integration.
  • Strong policy writing skills.
  • Experience using monitoring tools such as HBSS, Splunk, ACAS, WSUS, Solarwinds and others.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) practices/procedures (DISA STIGs, RMF, eMASS, HBSS).
  • Strong DoD Security practices and knowledge, including COMSEC and facility security standards.
  • Must have DoD 8570 IA Certification (Security+ CE)
  • Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.
  • Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.
