Overview

Currently, i3 is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Training Specialist to join our team in Cp. Humphrey’s, Korea.

 

Mission Command Training Center (MCTC) - Training Specialist personnel will provide MCTC C4ISR system training support in Korea. Contractor personnel will train US soldiers on the operation of the Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS) and C4ISR systems (including e.g. CPOF, DCGS-A, FBCB2, JADOCS, BCS3, ULLS-A (E), C-IED, and WIN-T).  Specific systems to train may be adjusted in accordance with direction from the military leadership.  The Training Specialist shall have experience in the preparation and conduct of military training doctrine (e.g. preparation of Programs of Instruction, Lesson Plans) and experience in the Army’s warfighting functions of movement and maneuver, fires, intelligence, sustainment, command and control, protection and will be able to meet the challenges of any changes in systems for which the trainers will need to train.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain computer systems, servers and standalone platforms using multiple Operating systems and networks.
  • Provide classroom and small group instruction to soldiers, Government employees and contractors with various levels of computer skills.
  • Market the Mission Command Training Center to soldiers, units and commands.
  • Write, edited, and improve POIs.
  • Ability to communicate clear and concisely in both written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to speak to large groups in a technical and educational format.
  • Ability to learn multiple Army Battle Command Systems and C4ISR systems to be trained.
  • Must be able to travel and teach with little supervision.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge in adult and accelerated learning principles, and Curriculum Design and Development.
  • Proven track record of creating curriculum and ability to train-the-trainer.
  • Knowledge and success in Distance Learning
  • Ability to build, maintain and manage relationships and partnerships within government and contracting personnel.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and a team player.
  • Training certification verifying the ability to train others in a classroom or similar setting.
  • Experience in training /instructional design/ education field management.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet.
  • Security+ Certification required.

Certification(s): Minimum: IAT Level II

 

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an Active Secret DOD Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires travel up to 50%; ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time; ability to move around inside an office and in field sites or deployed locations; ability to operate a computer and other office machinery such as copy machine and computer printer; occasionally ascend/descend a ladder and or stairs to access work areas; ability to position self to maintain computer systems including under desks, in rack systems and in military tactical vehicles; ability to complete repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and or fingers; ability to operate a motor vehicle; ability to communicate frequently with customers and coworkers with ability to exchange accurate information in these situations; ability to see words and graphics on computer screens and in printed paper documents; occasionally move and or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds between offices and in deployed locations; ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
