Overview

i3 has an exciting opportunity for a Reverse Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division. The TEWD's mission is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through RDT&E of current and future technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer and analyze electronic and digital hardware in EW applications.
  • Design and develop custom interface circuitry for use in controlling and collecting critical parameters during test and evaluation of assets.
  • Generate technical reports documenting design and analysis.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience.
  • Experience designing and integrating analog and digital circuitry to include: FPGAs, DSPs, and fundamental circuit elements.
  • Experience analyzing analog and digital circuits for functional operation and system level implementation.
  • Experience with printed circuit board layout.
  • Experience operating electronic test equipment.
  • US Citizenship

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience.
  • Experience with radar and guidance systems.
  • Experience with digital signal processing.
  • Experience debugging embedded software or firmware.
  • Experience writing technical reports.

Security Clearance: 

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
