Overview

i3 is seeking a mid-level VDI Subject Matter Expert to support an Army Contract. The VDI SME will provide technical expertise supporting enterprise information systems and components for a large (8000+) user community. The VDI SME must have a customer centric approach and provide all level of support for the technical and cyber team as well as the user base community.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with VMware Horizon 7 VDI desktops.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, and administration of VDI systems.
  • Experience with Windows 10 / Linux OS.
  • Ability to create, edit, and maintain Microsoft Active Directory groups, GPOs, user accounts, and other objects.
  • Have a good understanding of group policies, local policies, and applications.
  • Experience in implementing and configuring VMware Horizon products, UEM, instant clones, pools and building templates and expanding architecture.
  • Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line ticketing systems, and in person.
  • Assist Sr. Administrators in the design and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements.
  • Experience with Multifactor authentication, CAC/Smartcard PKI and certificate management in a Windows environment.
  • Experience utilizing ticket systems to manage and respond to end user requests, such as JIRA.
  • Assist in maintaining system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
  • Ability to take on project ownership and satisfy requirements up to completion.
  • Understanding of information Assurance (IA) systems and practices, such as DISA STIGs, RMF, and system hardening.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma and 10 + years of relevant experience required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active SECRET Clearance.
  • Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.
  • Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Must be DoD 8570.01-M IAT I Compliant
