Overview

i3 is looking for a MQ-1C Gray Eagle Maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate would have direct experience working with the MQ-1C UAS as the OEM, Military, or DoD Contractor. General experience with other Army UAS platforms such as the RQ-7B Shadow is beneficial. This individual will be classified as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the MQ-1C system and will directly contribute to development of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) for MQ-1C related maintenance tasks. The SME will work directly with the Training Program Manager for daily/weekly tasking and training goals to be met.

Responsibilities

Must have experience performing Gray Eagle UAS scheduled and unscheduled field-level maintenance. Experience performing maintenance tasks in support of the Fort Huachuca UAS operations is preferred. This Gray Eagle Technician should have hands-on experience with inspection, testing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of the Gray Eagle UAS systems (e.g. navigation, avionics, IFF, electrical, flight control, CSP, UGCS, MGCS, COMSEC, and communications) IAW maintenance technical manuals and all related aviation maintenance regulations; inspecting and maintaining maintenance support equipment. Also, experience utilizing electronic logbooks for maintenance and supply actions, currently U.S. Army Aviation's Aircraft Notebook (ACN).


Compensation may vary based on experience, training required and/or documented experience in Aviation Maintenance leadership or quality inspector roles.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of a HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years ANY General Atomics UAS/RPA platform (or equivalent) avionics/electrical experience.
  • Two (2) additional years in any manned/unmanned avionics/aircraft electrician position.
  • At least one formal school completion or FAA certification in an Aviation Electronics/Electrician course (Military or Civilian).
  • Experience with classroom training and/or Windows IT and Networking experience desired.

Preferred:

  • Two (2) years MQ-1C Gray Eagle avionics/electrical experience. (Army MOS 15E-U5).
  • Four (4) years total UAS aircraft avionics/electrical experience.
  • Avionics, Aircraft Electrician, and/or FAA certifications.
  • Technical Inspector/Collateral Duty Inspector experience.
  • Windows troubleshooting and network troubleshooting.

Security Clearance:

Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance (minimum Interim to start) prior to start date
