i3 is looking for a RQ-7B Shadow Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate would have direct experience working with the RQ-7B UAS as the OEM, Military, or DoD Contractor. General experience with other Army UAS platforms such as the MQ-1C Gray Eagle is beneficial. This individual will be classified as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the RQ-7B system and will directly contribute to development of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) for RQ-7B related payload related tasks. The SME will work directly with the Training Program Manager for daily/weekly tasking and training goals to be met.


Must have experience operating the RQ-7B Shadow in CONUS and OCONUS environments. Experience performing Instructor Operator (IO) duties in support of initial qualification is preferred. This Shadow Operator should have hands-on experience with all aspects of operations with the aircraft to include the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, servicing, and flight with the RQ-7B and its associated payloads.

Compensation may vary based on experience, training required and/or documented experience in Aviation Leadership.



  • Minimum of a HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree preferred.
  • Four (4) years of RQ-7B Shadow flight experience
  • Operational experience with the RQ-7B Shadow in CONUS and OCONUS environments
  • Minimum of 500 documented flight hours with the RQ-7B


  • 1,000+ documented flight hours with the RQ-7B
  • Instructor Operator (IO) / Standardization Instructor Operator (SO) experience
  • Familiarity with POP-300, POP-300D, and MX-10D payloads
  • Experience in building training courses from scratch
  • Background in supporting Special Operations Forces
  • Additional experience with other airframes such as the MQ-1C, UH-60, or other military aviation platforms

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance (minimum Interim to start) prior to start date
