Overview

i3 is currently looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be a member of a highly skilled and motivated team responsible for the assessment, design, and implementation of solutions in a variety of software applications.

Responsibilities

Conducting or participating in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software.  Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed and input/output requirements; designs and develops compiler and assemblers, utility programs and operating systems.

  • Designs and develops software as part of an agile team.
  • Implementing new features and functionality and correcting software
  • Implementing new features and functionality within the existing.
  • Familiarity with build tools, testing, continuous integration
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Ability to shift priorities as workflow/volume dictates
  • Strong desire to learn and share knowledge with others

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors and Twelve (12) years or more experience – OR - Masters and Ten (10) years or more experience
  • Additional experience may substitute for degree 
  • Minimum 10 years related experience including experience with full Software engineering lifecycle
  • Active U.S. Government DoD TS/SCI clearance
