Overview

i3 is pursuing the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) competitive effort. The mission is to design and implement a Missile Defense System with multiple layers of protection. We are currently reviewing candidate resumes for junior to mid-level IT Specialists in the Huntsville, AL area. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, installation, configuration, administration, operation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation of unclassified and classified equipment/devices IAW applicable MDA and DoD guidance, instructions, procedures and processes through Agile methodologies.
  • Ensures IT systems and networks are fully functional for all operational and support activities hosted and serviced by the AIMSS Program.
  • Works closely with Program Management, Information Assurance, software development team, analysis groups, and end-users to understand and implement requirements necessary fulfill customer requirements.
  • Performs regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
  • Maintains IT databases and performs light programming tasks in relation to system administration needs.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends new and emerging IT systems technologies to advance and support AIMSS requirements.
  • Provides technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale networks. Interfaces with vendors for procurement and maintenance of infrastructure equipment.
  • Assists with Government Furnished Equipment/Government Furnished Property (GFE/GFP) contract hardware/software maintenance, repairs and processes.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory and organization of different types of software and hardware resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • Years of relevant experience requirements for each level:
    • Level I: 0-3, Level II: 3-5, Level III: 5-8, Level IV: 8+
  • Prior technical experience working with classified equipment preferred.
  • Prior experience with Government Furnished Equipment/Government Furnished Property (GFE/GFP) contract hardware/software maintenance, repairs and processes preferred.
  • Must have Security+, comparable certificate, or ability to achieve 8570/8140 compliance.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
