Overview

i3 is seeking an experienced candidate to support and oversee systems engineering and modeling activities. This position will be instrumental in supporting a Program Management Office (PMO) in requirements development and decomposition, system design and design verification, interface development, and verification/validation activities.  

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the PMO Chief Architect through extensive knowledge and experience within Army Program Management Offices (PMOs) as well as systems engineering and modeling
  • Act as a liaison between the technical team and senior PMO staff
  • Provides technical/project management of assigned projects or major phases of significant projects by coordinating the efforts of assigned technical staff
  • Participates in the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software and hardware system integration testing and performs analysis of integration results to assess system impacts.
  • Utilizes MBSE tools and techniques to support requirements development, system design, and the development of use cases for selected systems.
  • Develops system models and creates representations using data architectures and data models to facilitate interoperability.
  • Utilizes strong written, communication, and presentation skills, and works effectively in a team environment.
  • Reviews system engineering documentation and model artifacts to ensure accuracy.
  • Participates in the development of trade studies to support the selection preferred design solutions and course of action alternatives in project development/product delivery.
  • Participates in project/program technical risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Analyzes and evaluates systems using MBSE artifacts.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams within or in direct support of a Program Management Office including briefing senior leadership and assisting in requirements development required.
  • Demonstrated experience using MBSE tools and techniques to support requirements development, system design, and the development of use cases for selected systems required.

  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
