Overview

i3 is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to serve as Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience in production, quality and configuration/data management to support an Army Air and Missile Defense program currently in the development phase. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate the technical program management efforts, ensuring comprehensive planning and documentation to meet established performance and production requirements as the program progresses toward initial production as well as acquisition milestone events.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and address trends in production and performance parameters to mitigate potential issues early in the process. 
  • Ensure rigorous planning and analysis during the development phase, setting the program up for long-term success as it transitions to production and fielding.
  • Developing and overseeing production line validation events, supporting design reviews, and participating in production configuration audits.
  • Conduct data analysis and report program results and conclusions formally and informally through technical reports, briefings, memos, and white papers.
  • Provide active involvement in quality and configuration management, reliability aspects, supporting special analysis teams, Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs), and Failure Review Boards (FRBs).
  • Contribute to manufacturing planning, develop Statements of Work (SOWs), evaluate technical proposals, and conduct Department of Defense Manufacturing Readiness Level assessments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s) in an Engineering discipline and 15 plus years of relevant experience is required.
  • Candidates must have a solid understanding of DoD 5000.
  • Candidate must be experienced with Microsoft Office products.
  • Subject Matter Expert with defense systems experience in the quality or production areas is preferred.

  • Should have an understanding of systems engineering methodology and techniques.

  • Must be able to think independently and be self-motivated, with proven organizational skills, ability to multi-task and support varied assignments. 

  • Good communication skills are important, with a positive and friendly demeanor.

  • Secret Security Clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
