The SkyRange program is developing and integrating advanced sensors/capabilities and providing flight operations & maintenance for a fleet of manned/un-manned/optionally manned air-vehicle systems to support hypersonic capability development. The SkyRange test architecture includes both MQ-9 Reapers and RQ-4 Global Hawks allowing for the capture of real-time telemetry, real-time multi-spectral full motion video, maritime range surveillance and clearing, and the collection of weather data to support real-time launch decision-making for high-speed system testing (HSST). This unique capability set will increase overall National flight test capacity while greatly reducing costs associated with HSST.
i3 is seeking a Senior Sensor/Capability Development Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support the SkyRange program. This position is primarily a product development and aircraft integration/test project role. Successfully interfacing with customer community stakeholders, internal team stakeholders, aircraft OEMs, and sensor/capability development subcontractors to plan and manage project execution to meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements is paramount. The position also includes subcontractor management, prototyping oversight and acceptance, qualification and reliability testing oversight, test event planning, and HSST flight test range support.
