Overview

i3 is seeking a Junior Configuration Manager to perform configuration and data management to support an Army Contract. The Junior Configuration Manager will define, document, and maintain the configuration documentation required to support the Authority to Operate (ATO) for Software Integrated Facility. The Configuration Manager must have a customer centric approach and provide support for the technical and cyber team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Configuration Management Process, to include change requests, Control Boards, and Technical Review Boards.
  • Provide user support and troubleshoot issues with configuration management software.
  • Perform and coordinate audits of systems and software to verify compliance with established baselines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all configuration management related activities.
  • Ensure the proper baseline identification of configuration items, perform periodic audits, and provide verification of version release configuration items.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement configuration management process standards, plans, and procedures.
  • Ensure changes to the process methods and processes are properly approved, communicated and managed throughout the CM lifecycle.
  • Conduct and/or participate in Technical/Cyber meetings with organizational team members.
  • Establishes and satisfies system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
  • Manage, define, and facilitate Configuration Management and Configuration Control Board processes and procedures in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Establish configuration security guidelines to avoid unauthorized changes to approved baselines; 
  • Prepare and oversee completion of configuration documentation and maintain configuration management data to include the approved hardware/software baseline, STIGs, and accreditation boundary diagrams.
  • Develop, review, maintain, and execute configuration management plans, policies, and standard operating procedures in accordance with federal mandates, NIST guidance, FISMA requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Information Security and Auditing.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance IAM-I level certification (Security+).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, but interim secret required to start.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
