Overview

i3 is hiring a motivated, results-oriented Mid-Level Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) with a passion for training. The position requires hands-on experience in the application of the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) Instructional Model, to include the analysis and development of job tasks, learning objectives, and instructional tools and techniques for use in the creation of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI). The ideal candidate will have experience applying a commonsense approach to producing training with measurable performance outcomes.

 

This position is located at either our Huntsville or Orlando offices with the option of hybrid work.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate data collection meetings to ensure the acquisition of all required and relevant data.
  • Leverage sound instructional design, prevailing learning theories, and performance improvement processes using ADDIE Instructional Model.
  • Review technical guidance and collaborate with SMEs to extract technical instructional content to support learning objectives.
  • Participate in creative and technical development teams to identify appropriate and innovated IMI solutions.
  • Proactively engage stakeholders to successfully accomplish schedule milestones.
  • Use COTS tools to develop storyboards and courseware.
  • Work with other ISDs, Project Manager, and other development team members to meet production, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Ensure 100% of own work output complies with requirements and quality standards.
  • Organize course content in accordance with instructional design plans.
  • Willingness to travel, as required.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Systems Design, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Technology, or related field. Additional Years of experience my be substituted for degree. 
  • Three (3)+ years of relevant experience, to include the development of IMI learning solutions.
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.

Preferred skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Instructional Systems Design, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Technology, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with gamification of IMI solutions is preferred.
  • Experience developing courseware with rapid authoring tools (Adobe Captivate and/or Storyline 360) is a plus.
  • Experience with DoD training standards, requirements, and IMI products preferred.
