Overview

Join the i3 team in support of Program Executive Office, Aviation (PEO AVN), PPR&P team as a Records/Data/Configuration Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining an effective Records Information Management program. This position is responsible for the creation, organization, maintenance, and disposition of PEO AVN records, ensuring full compliance with applicable federal laws, regulations, and organizational policies. You will develop strategies, policies, and training initiatives to safeguard critical data and streamline information management processes within a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust Records Management Program for PPR&P, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Complete Records Management for Officials Training and Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS) Training to ensure expertise in best practices.
  • Integrate Records Management processes with Army 365 SharePoint, optimizing file structure, accessibility, and collaboration.
  • Train PPR&P personnel on records management protocols and provide ongoing support for file maintenance and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain the Official Records Listing (ORL), Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs), shared drives, and Army 365 pages to ensure organized, secure record storage.
  • Leverage ARIMS as a reference and storage solution for records housed on shared drives, as outlined in the ORL.
  • Collaborate with the Records Administrator (RA), Chief Information Officer (CIO), and IT team to address electronic recordkeeping needs, technology challenges, and long-term accessibility of records.
  • Support the development of records management policies and governance frameworks to promote best practices and adherence to federal statutes.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the Records Management Program’s effectiveness, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement in information governance.
  • Oversee the proper disposition of records in accordance with government-wide policies and procedures.
  • Create and deliver comprehensive records management training tailored to PPR&P staff needs.
  • Conduct periodic quality control reviews, compliance audits, risk assessments, and surveys to enhance electronic systems and overall program performance.
  • Organize records based on agency lines of business, designing logical filing structures and access plans to support operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and improve records management workflows by recommending automated tools, systems, and technologies to enhance productivity.
  • Manage essential records, including their identification, protection, and accessibility, to support Continuity of Operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to apply records management principles within a large-scale organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Official Records Listing (ORL) application and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, tasks, and projects with precision and efficiency.
  • Experience integrating Records Management with Army 365 SharePoint or similar platforms.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree (AA) with 7+ years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Desired Skills

  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint for records management and collaboration.
  • Background in Information Technology and application integration.
  • Proficiency in automating processes and routines to improve operational efficiency.
