Overview

i3 is searching for a Program Manager to join our team. Candidate will be responsible for managing cost, schedule, and performance, and risk of projects. Provide subject matter expertise on relevant standards, oversee project management, manage technical teams, and interface with Corporate Executives and DoD customers. Align projects with strategic portfolio goals while fostering growth in people, programs, and capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall project development life cycle, ensuring complex projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while managing project risk and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate with customers, senior officials, and engineers to develop a project strategy and roadmap that provide compelling and value-added innovations and new capabilities.
  • Implement best practices to ensure project designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and deliver project presentations and documentation such as milestone reviews, project management reviews, and key project artifacts.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of all contract support activities.
  • Advocate for a team culture aligned with i3 core values, supervise personnel, enforce work standards, assign contractor schedules, review work discrepancies, and communicate organizational goals.
  • Contribute to business development within the existing customer base and explore opportunities with new customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on technical expertise preferred.
  • Solid background of leading projects and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs that include multiple subcontractors, material vendors, and demanding customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage costs on a multimillion-dollar design and development program to include estimates at complete (EAC) and other cost accounting methods.
  • Familiarity with DoD Software Acquisition Pathway and its application in iterative software development, particularly for delivering Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) training solutions.

 CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • SECRET security clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.

  • Possess strong business and technical vision.
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills to include the ability to uncover true requirements, recommend alternative solutions and approaches, and lead engineering efforts that meet aggressive timelines.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with independent and team problem solving.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, provide feedback, and engage in productive discussions.
  • Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
  • Competent in the use of project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Confluence, and Jira.
  • Knowledgeable in Disciplined Agile project management practices including familiarity with frameworks like Scrum.
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.
  • Able to maintain professional and courteous interactions with a diverse array of customers and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, accountable for accurate and complete results
  • Be energized by a fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to analyze information and respond appropriately.
  • Possess strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task in a pleasant and efficient manner.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Full-time, on-site position at i3 facilities in Huntsville, AL.
  • Regular hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, with occasional additional hours.
  • Regular and punctual attendance required.
  • Up to 10% travel required to meet project objectives.
