Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Modeling, Simulation and Training Team Product Owner (PO)

i3 is seeking a highly motivated and experiencedAir and Missile Defense (AMD) Modeling, Simulation and Training (MST) Product Owner (PO) who will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. This position is expected to be performed fully onsite in Huntsville, AL.

• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms.
• Working with Program Management to set priorities for new capabilities and defects.
• Provide guidance to the MST team for each Program Increment (PI) and Sprint.
• Support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for MST tasks and stories.
• Verify work performed by the MST team.
• Provide technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership. 
• Report on status; recommended courses of actions, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission. 

• Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
• Be a US citizen.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
• Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.

• Must have a good understanding of modeling and simulations for sensors and weapon systems and general knowledge of scenario changes (defense planning, threats) needed to test new command and control capability. 

• Be able to create and maintain a prioritized product backlog of user stories and tasks and be able to work directly with the Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.  

Other Qualifications: 

• Previous experience with/knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS preferred.
• The ability to “move out” and champion your ideas, architectures, designs, enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are very important.
• Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus.
• Possessing an Agilist Certification is an additional plus.
