Associate Systems Engineer

i3 is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, develop and test solutions to complex applications problems in the systems engineering field. The selected candidate will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system and subsystem requirements.  

• Develop testable requirements based on customer input for DoD environment training and simulation software.
• Responsible for testing and documentation associated with developing software applications.
• Perform demonstrations and interface with customers to ensure product meets end customer goals.
• Support software development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Present systems engineering concepts to internal teammates and customers alike.
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or relevant discipline. Additional years of experience may substitute for degree.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Agile Scrum development methodology and associated tools.
• Knowledge and/or experience with a configuration management software tool.
• Knowledge and/or experience with requirements analysis tools (e.g. Rational Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Innoslate, CAMEO).
• Experience developing requirements for DoD customers preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
