Overview

i3 is seeking a Flight Facility Manager to support the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) Project Management Office (PMO) within EUAS located in El Mirage, California.  The ideal candidate would provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  Those solutions would be imaginative, thorough, practical and consistent with organization objectives.  

This candidate should have a wide understanding and application of flight operations, maintenance operations, logistic operations, military and civilian personnel.  This candidate should be able to establish and achieve goals based on stated objectives and provide guidance to employees that result in the consistent accomplishment of those goals and objectives.  

This candidate should be able to use general guidance to develop direction and communicate that direction to a team in order to accomplish goals and objectives. 

 

Pay Range $100,000.00 -$150,000.00

The pay range for this position is general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, geographic location, and any applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily feedback to the PM EUAS on all contract activities.
  • Supervise quality control management for UAV systems records.
  • Perform failure analysis including in-field failures.
  • Mentor and guide staff in support of Test Flight, flight line and production.
  • Collaborate with management and program teams to ensure schedule, cost, and technical performance
  • Effectively interpret and administers policies, processes and procedures that impact programs.
  • Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Works in conjunction with personnel on test development project at both El Mirage and other UAS facilities as required.
  • Accepts and completes new development projects in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with management and program teams to ensure schedule, cost and technical performance.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience in military aviation, aerospace machining, welding, propulsion/engine design, propeller control and balance, fuel systems, hydraulics, and circuit boards.
  • Consistently meets all challenges presented.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ten (10) years or more of applicable experience.
  • Experience with Uncrewed Systems
  • Experience with aviation system development and engineering
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate successfully as part of a diverse team in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication, outstanding initiative, aggressive problem-solving and task management skills as well as excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
