Overview

i3 is searching for an IT Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) effort. The mission is to design and implement a Missile Defense System with multiple layers of protection. The IT Administrator ensures that end-users have smooth and efficient experience with technology tools by addressing technical issues and providing desktop support. Uses technical expertise, effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset to assist team members via phone, e-mail, online systems and in person. Configures, installs, and maintains PCs, networking printing devices, peripherals, and software. This position is located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administration of cloud and on-premises offerings such as Office 365, Exchange Online, Teams, Active Directory, OneDrive, and Intune.
  • Create and configure virtual and physical machines in a multi-platform environment.
  • Engage with other IT team members to ensure that services meet operational requirements for internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate with team members on future direction and opportunities for new technology.
  • Ensure that system performance/state is monitored; analyze and evaluate identified issues, trends, and problem areas; ensure issues are handled appropriately through effective support processes.
  • Ensure operational support documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Receive and respond to escalated/advanced service requests from customers.
  • Comply with standard company policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively on team projects, communicating properly and providing status.
  • Utilize the ticketing system to document, track and provide metrics of ongoing customer and system issues until resolutions.
  • Recognize the necessary improvements and make suggestions.
  • Requires consistent exercise of discretion and judgement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE.
  • Knowledge of virtualization fundamentals.
  • Ability to remediate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Active Secret clearance required. Must be able to maintain the security clearance required for this position
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville AL or be willing to relocate prior to start date.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the office as business needs dictate.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
