Overview

i3 is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and outgoing Mission Support Specialist to join the SkyRange team! The SkyRange program was created by the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) to develop, test, and deploy hypersonic systems as quickly as possible.

The stakeholder, Test Resource Management Center (TRMC), has established the program by acquiring multiple remotely piloted aircraft platforms while continuing to develop the necessary sensors for this effort's prototyping. The SkyRange program aims to significantly improve flight test support by developing capabilities that use aircraft equipped with specialized sensors to meet hypersonic flight test requirements.

The position will require up to 25% travel to various locations to perform mission duties and ensure positive customer, subcontractor, and other government organization relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Mission Support Manager with progress reporting, mission scheduling, customer/subcontractor interface, and sensor operations
  • Translate aviation sensor terminology, procedures, and operations to appropriate teams
  • Coordinate applicable personnel travel requirements with flexible mission calendars
  • Validate mission data through the interpretation and utilization of manuals, vendor documentation, and operational checklists
  • Attend daily meetings to coordinate with subcontractors and government sets to ensure effective collaboration across multiple airframes and sensor integration
  • Adapt to changing workloads quickly and collaborate with the team and other entities to provide solutions, following best practices to ensure a high-quality standard
  • Interact with a diverse array of customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical, science, or business discipline from an accredited college and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
  • Degree and minimum requirements above may be substituted for six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Experience with DoD and other government agencies
  • Knowledge of remotely piloted aircraft sensor operations
  • High-level interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills by balancing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Active Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain required
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred:

  • Ten (10)+ years of relevant experience
  • Operational experience within the RQ-4 and MQ-9 sensor platforms
  • Sensor Operator expertise strongly preferred

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
