Overview

 i3 has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division. TEWD’s mission is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through RDT&E of current and future technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing team member in the research, design, development, test, and analysis of anti-ship missile (ASM) simulators, simulations, and related subsystems.
  • Design and develop hardware, software, and firmware in EW applications.
  • Develop and implement algorithms for use in radar applications.
  • Support integration and verification testing in laboratory and field environments.
  • Generate technical reports documenting design and analysis.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience.
  • Proficient C/C++ developer.
  • Experience designing, developing, and testing radio frequency (RF) and digital circuits.
  • Experience debugging embedded software or firmware.
  • Experience with lab bring-up and characterization of RF circuit boards.
  • Experience with printed circuit board layout.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience.
  • Experience with radar and guidance systems.
  • MATLAB application in simulation and data analysis.
  • Experience writing technical reports. 

Security Clearance

  • Active Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
