Expeditor

The position requires a self-motivated, proactive individual with the ability to organize, problem-solve, coordinate and administer multiple assignments concurrently. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, growing small business environment as a team player performing a variety of functions to administer, monitor and track all procurement activity. The Expeditor must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex procurement challenges; (2) excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings and new concepts to a variety of audiences; (3) excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers and other external parties; and (4) the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple work phases.

• Order Tracking: Monitoring purchase orders (POs) from placement to delivery, updating internal systems with status changes.
• Supplier/Vendor Communication: Following up with vendors to confirm shipping schedules and resolve delivery delays or discrepancies.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of shipment arrivals and vendor performance using ERP systems or Excel.
• Coordination: Acting as a liaison between departments (e.g., Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, Programs and Production) to ensure operational efficiency.
• Problem Solving: Identifying potential bottlenecks and proactively communicating shortages to management.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred, with a minimum of 1-3 years of related experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
• Basic understanding of procurement, shipping, and supply chain processes
• Ability to perform a variety of general tactical duties as required to support purchasing activities
• Must have strong PC skills and be proficient with Excel, Word, etc.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Must be proactive, detail-oriented and a self-starter
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Hard-working, self-motivated and possesses a positive attitude
• Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to perform effectively within aggressive deadlines. Ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision and be persistent in follow-through
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interface effectively inside and outside the department, as required

• Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
